Covid19 Students are Learning at Home

Preschoolers are learning at Home

During this time of crisis, we are praying for the restoration of a healthy community. The health and safety of our students, families, and the community we serve is our top priority. We’re closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To ensure we are acting on the latest information and guidance, we keep track of updates from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Fairfax Health Department, and the Fairfax County Public School.

Currently, students are safe with families at Home. We are in the childcare business to support working families’ schedule and their childcare needs. This business philosophy includes the fostering of children’s development. We are fortunate to serve families with work from home options. The work from home option comes with its own set of challenges to include finances. To address financial hardships, we made financial adjustments and repurposed resources in our early learning program to best support families and their children while at Home. To advance and strengthen the children’s distance learning are the reasons for making available these resources. To foster the developmental skills needed to enhance the children’s relationship with the families, we are continuing the use of Al’s Pals lessons. We believe that the children are in the best place to develop and learn through these unprecedented historical teachable moments.

Daily we engage with families through emails, phones, and social media outlets. We make available early learning educational and emotional resources to support, strengthen, and help the children continued growth through these challenging times.

We are committed to operating in this manner for as long as is necessary. Under this arrangement, the children are safe, and their emotional development continues while they spend quality time with families before making the transition to kindergarten.

While practicing physical distancing, we remain fully engaged with students and families. Collectively, we are strengthening relationships and sharing quality time. We have fun learning, playing, and growing together!
